Introducing Highpay Ads Smart Links

Smart Links let publishers monetize inline sponsorship inventory with native-style hyperlinks — clearly labeled sponsored placements billed on your existing CPC or CPM bid.

Smart Links are now available on Highpay Ads. They are single-line sponsored hyperlinks designed for inventory that banners and text ads do not fit: inline mentions in articles, sidebar link lists, and resource pages where a full ad unit would feel out of place.

The idea came from watching how readers actually move through crypto sites. On a news article about a new L2 launch, a 728×90 banner at the top often gets ignored after the third paragraph. A text link inside a “related tools” sidebar, on the other hand, gets clicked because it looks like part of the page. Smart Links formalize that pattern without hiding the fact that the link is paid.

Each Smart Link uses your anchor text and destination URL, renders as a normal hyperlink styled to match the publisher site, and carries a clear sponsored label so visitors know it is advertising. For advertisers, Smart Links follow the same cost-per-click or cost-per-mille bid you set on the campaign — no separate pricing tier.

From a creative standpoint, Smart Links are simpler than banners. You are not designing artwork for five sizes. You write anchor text that reads naturally in context — “Compare wallet fees” works better than “CLICK HERE FOR BEST CRYPTO WALLET NOW” — and point it at a landing page that matches the promise. Publishers can tune font weight and color in zone settings so the link does not clash with editorial typography.

For advertisers, add Smart Link creatives when you create a campaign. Provide anchor text and a landing URL; links serve in dedicated smart-link zones across the network. Smart Links work alongside banners, text ads, and in-page push in the same campaign. Read the full Smart Links format guide for placement examples and bidding details.

For publishers, Smart Links unlock a new line of inventory. Create a smart-link zone from the publisher dashboard, paste the embed snippet where you want inline links to appear, and adjust styling in zone settings so sponsored links match your typography. Blog sidebars, “recommended reads” lists, and footer link directories are common starting points.

Why add Smart Links? Click intent on inline links is often higher than on display units users learn to scroll past. Publishers monetize space that previously had no ad slot — a footer directory of exchanges, a “tools we use” box, a mid-article callout. Advertisers reach readers in a native context without building a separate banner creative for every placement.

Smart Links are not a replacement for display. They work best when you already have banner or text zones running and want to test an extra line of inventory. Run them for two weeks alongside your existing setup, compare click-through rate and downstream signups per zone, and keep the placements that earn without hurting time-on-page.

Smart Links are lightweight to implement: one embed tag per zone, no fixed IAB size to design for. If you already run banner or text zones, Smart Links are an optional add-on — not a replacement. Check pricing for minimum bids, then launch a test campaign from the advertiser dashboard or add your first smart-link zone today. We are interested in feedback on anchor copy, placement patterns, and performance on your sites.
